First Hulltimates Poster

Finnally here is the poster for the hulltimates. This is the end product of the development stage that involved scanning the original line art and experimienting with various pens and what not. I hope to put this up in a few places once the strip gets going. Clockwise from the top left we have Mach Attack, Captain Fabulous, Tiger Man, Captain Captain and The Freezer.

Here are a few test ones.

Did you know...

... That this comic was originally going to be a self published zine?
A fun but silly idea because I'm moving in september and there seemed to be little point in a comic about Hull that would only be available in York.

One step forwards two steps back.

While work continues behind the scenes on The Hulltimates such as photocopying and refining of promotional images. I am still severely hampered by lack of acess to a working computer (I can only reach you through the limited web browsing capabilities of the Nintendo Wii) As such this has damaged my motivation to produce stories and artwork, I often find myself grasping a fineliner and saying to myself "Whats the point if I can't upload it anytime soon?". But don't worry I'm working on becoming more proactive.

Was has been done is the writing for the first issue as well as defining of the longitudinal story arc of all our heroes. Page one of the first issue has been drawn, inking is nearly complete and art for page 2 is well underway. The final draught of the promo poster/flyer is almost complete after a fair few concept stages. I'm setting myself the task of finishing these this weekend so fingers crossed. I shall also try and get the promo poster/flyer up by begging my Dad for use of his third child/laptop.

I also found some drawings from as far back as 2004/05 of some of the characters and some old ideas for story lines, it's very interesting digging through old sketchbooks to see how these ideas have evolved to the point I've found the bollocks to make them public.
